Introducing a new combination of forgiveness and distance. The XCG-5 Fairway Wood features a titanium cup face and crown, a special beta titanium face insert, and tungsten sole plate. The tungsten plate weighs 151 grams or 68% of the club's total weight. This club features a 6-point perimeter weighting system with 4 external and 2 internal weight cavities that lowers the center of gravity and moves it deep in the head for enhanced distance.
Unlike other fairway woods, Tour Edge has eliminated welding by brazing the titanium and tungsten parts. The brazing process is extremely expensive for it must be performed in a vacuum chamber. The parts must be fitted to 1/1000 of an inch and the base metals must be exceptionally clean and free of oxides. In the end, your club has a lower center of gravity and enhanced feel off the face. The Exotics XCG-5 fairway for ladies is one inch shorter in length.
