The inverted cone technology inside the R11 iron and The ultra-thin club faces promote faster ball speed and Inverted Cone Technology enlarges the sweet spot for increased distance on off-center hits.The irons maintain uniform swingweight throughout, and TaylorMade has eliminated inconsistent CG by virtue of the Precision Weighting Port engineered into the back of each club during assembly that ensures the CG is precisely and optimally positioned in the center of the face between toe and heel in each iron
The R11 iron's multi-functional sole is beveled at the back to make it perform like a much thinner sole, which increases playability from a variety of lies. Yet it also features a low and deeper center of gravity that makes it easy to launch the ball on a powerful and penetrating flight.
