Our History

Discount Golf World is a golf retail store that is a division of 1^st in Video Music World in Quincy Illinois. 1^st in Video Music World is a company that started as a brick and mortar stereo store over 30 years ago. Since then it has developed into an online company that manages three sites: 4DiscountTravel.com, DiscountGolfWorld.com and the Internet Retail Top 500 member 4ElectronicWarehouse.com. Discount Golf World started in January of 2005 after founder Dennis Boudreau decided to try his hand in the Golf industry after 37 years in the Electronics Business and 21 years in the Travel Business. A month after the concept was born; Discount Golf World had its grand opening with a completely stocked golf store and a fully functional website DiscountGolfWorld.com.

We Have Everything You Need

Since our beginning in 2005 Discount Golf World has succeeded in picking up virtually every major golf brand’s product lines including: Callaway, Nike, Taylor Made, Cleveland, Titleist, and Mizuno. We have also become an Internet and eBay Authorized Dealer for Cleveland Golf.

In addition to our main website DiscountGolfWorld.com, we also have an eBay store and a local store and warehouse in Quincy Illinois. At our local store we have the Callaway OptiFit cart which helps fit for custom golf clubs along with several experts who are certified club fitters for most of the brands we carry. In addition to that, Discount Golf World has an in house Golf Professional that gives lessons on a regular basis. We have also teamed up with Christiansen Golf Academy to give additional golf lessons throughout the year. Our staff is very experienced in both the Golf industry and also the game itself. They are available to take your calls or chat with you online if you have any questions while visiting our site.

Community Service
We pride ourselves on our service to the customer, but we also take great pride in service to our community. Our employees are encouraged to donate their time and money to better serve the community. We also work very closely with our local colleges’ internship programs, giving many students a start to their careers. Our latest community service project is the Discount Golf World Junior Tour fully sponsored by our company.
