Fitted for this club at a Callaway fitting location. Got a stiffer shaft for faster swing speed, and highly recommend the Fujikura E360 - Stiff for those with faster speeds or you will overpower the stock shaft. Miss hits (toe) fly very straight and long. Launch with a 9 degree is still high - but so are all of my clubs. The noise is typical with all Callaway drivers... you can tell us a mile away - but that's ok! Very happy

I have been golfing for about 20 years and for about 18 years I have never carried a driver in my bag because I have a terrible slice. I always used a 5W off the tee and sacrificed a lot distance for a straighter flight.
I read about the new technology available to correct shot shapes so I decided to give this club a try. I bought a 13 degree with a draw and I absolutely love it.
I still give up a little of distance with the high trajectory but from the first stoke all my shots off the tee were straight as an arrow. I am glad to give up some distance to stay in the fairway. I also tried a 10 degree with a draw but was unable to produce the same results and my fade was still present.
Only thing some may not like about this club is the sound. It doesn't generate a "ping" sound but rather something more akin to a gun shot. I personally like it but it certainly turns heads on the course and range.

This is my 3rd Callaway driver (previously had a Big Bertha and Big Bertha Ti) and by far the best driver I have owned. Solid off the tee, very straight and controlled. I can consistantly poke one 300 yds and about 315-320 with a hard swing. I've thought about up grading to a FT-9 but why bother. This club is great!

I had an EFT Fusion for several years, but I decided to upgrade to eliminate the little fading tail I had on my drives. This club did the trick. Straight down the middle now and some slightly draw. Total confidence to hit down fairways with trees lining both sides. Never had that before. My friend, who has more of a slice than I, borrowed it and hit it straight down the middle the first time he used it. He used it for 5 holes after that, down the middle every time.

This is simply a great club. I bought it preowned about 1 year ago and haven't looked back. Flush shots simply disappear down the fairway. Mishits still go pretty far. Don't expect the Draw model (which I own) to cure you slice; rather it does give you a nice soft draw instead of a slight fade. Sliced shots still slice, just not as bad. The shaft could be better (fujikura Fit-on 150) but overall, it works for this clubhead.
As noted in the CONS section, my only gripe is the sound at impact. It's almost Cobra loud. The use of composite materials is probably to blame. But it's ok when I launch one down the fairway and everyone turns to look. Not the most workable driver, but not numb either. Highly recommended.

Bought it this summer to replace my old Taylor Made 360...wanted a 460..after hitting it on the range while shopping vs. the other major branded drivers, this one felt the best, and I hit it farther and straighter than the others during the test...since I have played with it I am driving the ball 50 yds. farther, and straight...it gives you confidence on the tee that you know it is going to go straight, no matter what type of swing you put on it...love this thing!!!

Easy and fun to hit. Allows you to work the ball better than most 460cc drivers. Easily added 10 yards to my drives with same accuracy. I have played with a Callaway driver since 1991 and each one keeps getting better. An average or better golfer will really appreciate the value in this driver.

Switched from an old Hawkeye 10 degree to this based on the reviews I read. I figured after 10 years, some new technology may help gain a few yards. I used to hit it pretty straight with the hawkeye, but not very long. My average was about 225 - 235. I'd say I'm pretty much hitting it the same distance with the FT. Not a fan of the big head drivers, but you gotta keep up with the times at some point. I definitely find it more forgiving. If you catch it on the toe or heel (which is pretty hard to do with a head that size), it still gets out there enough to recover. Overall, not a bad club, but I don't think it lived up to the hype. There's no "Extra 30 yards..." here

This was one time being left-handed paid off: the original buyer had a custom shaft installed by the Callaway factory, and it is a very well balanced. Probably a bit stiff for my aging body, but I'm hitting them consistently in the 240-260 yd range...not bad for a 12 handicap 55 yr old!!

Very dissappointed with the Ft-5. Currently have a FT-3, neutral set-up, stiff Aldila NVS and love it. The shaft was too weak, and I personally think the club was mis labled, when I recieved it it had a sticker on it that stated 11 degree, but the blub had 9 degree on it. Being a former Class A member of the PGA, I know a little something about golf clubs. None the less, I stuck with my FT-3. the old motto is so true, never leave fairways, to find fairways. I do have to say that Jay @ Callaway golf preowned helped me with my return and was extremely courteous. Kudos to the staff at Callaway golf preowned!

I'm just returning to golf after an eight year layoff. My handicap needed more help than my swing could handle. I notice that I have dropped 10 strokes from previous scores and expect more strokes off as I steadily return to the game.
The switch to Callaway has been a great experience. The certified clubs fit my current situation and the 'like new' status was perfect. I could not tell these had been played.
So then I went to the local golf store and bought a new replacement Odessey.

Don't be afraid to hit it hard. I bought a DRAW model - but even when you try and jack it up a bit, it resists any wild hook tendency. You are still able to work the ball right to left if need be - just open it up. I immediately took the original, standard rib grip off and replaced it with a round grip to make adjustments more comfortable. Works like a charm. Condition of the club was borderline perfect. A super buy!

Changed to this from a Hyper X Tour because of the sound. The Hyper X sounded VERY loud to the point my ears would sometimes sting a little. The FT-5 hits every bit as far with more of muted (but still loud), solid sound when the ball explodes off the face.
Great distance and accuracy. Flight and spin are a little higher with the FT-5 than the Hyper X. Much better feel and sound.
Overall: Great Driver. Would buy another.

Are you kidding me? This club is awesome!! I first started golfing with no name knock off drivers. Then moved up to a Callaway Hawkeye, and thought it didn't get any better than that and was very reluctant to even try any of the large head drivers. I finally gave in and purchased the 9* neutral FT-5 with Fujikura stiff shaft. I couldn't believe how good it was. Boy have I been missing out! When I used to miss with my old driver, I would hook it hard. Now when I miss with the FT-5 it is a slight draw. I also gained at least 20 yards on average with the FT-5 over my old Hawkeye.

OK...so here is me. Playing a round and it going pretty bad..cannot find the fairway. Try your buddy's driver and it goes straight down the middle everytime you hit. You go and buy it. Take it to the course and you still cannot find the fairway. I have done this twice and swore I would never do it again. Well I broke that promise when I tried my buddy's FT-5 Tour (9.5/stiff/draw). [*] Absolutely amazing. Fairway after fairway. LONG as well. Could not be happier. I can honestly say there is not one thing I do not like about the club. A must buy!!

After exhausting amounts of research I bought the FT5 in 9.5 w/a V265 shaft (pured). Save your time and energy – go w/the FT5 Tour.
I’ve hit them all, literally. For feel, consistency and distance the FT5 & FT5 tour are the best balanced driver out there.
I swing at about 105mph club head speed and normal distance (w/roll) about 275. The Callaway really will provide you a weapon. You’ll feel confident to utilize your driver rather than a 3 wood or hybrid in tighter fairways. Bomb it, play a shorter iron, putt and smile all the way to the next tee box

I love the head and had a 8.5 deg with low trajectory (West Texas) due to the change in courses and the contour of the fairways, I wanted a light weight low trajectory shaft with a higher degree of loft, thus a Grafalloy Pro-lite Low Trajectory Shaft with the 10 deg. head. I did the work myself. Love the club.

I'm nearing 60, and the FT-5 I-Mix is perfect for me. Some days I'm rested and raring to go, and use the stiff shaft. Other days I've worked or played too much, and the regular shaft goes in. FT-5 head is the straightest hitting I've found. Using my previous driver I had to layup with 3 wood on holes w/ strategic bunkering, but now I'm not afraid to aim at a 15 yard wide fairway to the right or left of a fairway bunker.

Important that you get fitted for this club if possible because the shaft makes a huge difference.

Moved up from a Big Bertha 454 which I purchase here, good club but not very forgiving. Got the FT 5 tour 10.5 360 shaft yesterday and went to the driving range today, heated tee's but still 45 degree's.This club is great, right down the middle as advertised and I'm thinking the whole face is the sweet spot.Distance was very good considering the temp and cold golf balls. Thinking it will be about 10 to 20 yds longer than the 454. The big advantage is I will be in the short grass more often. Also I have purchased a set irons, x-20 tours and this is the second driver from callaway pre-owned and everything has been as advertised[...]and great clubs.

I am left handed and its hard to come across great drivers that are left handed. I have been playing a TaylorMade R5 driver for over a year now, and was not happy with the ball flight. I came across the FT-5 Tour driver and I fell in love with it. The weight of the driver is great (light, but can still pack a huge punch) along with the 460cc clubhead, gives you amazing power off the tee. Mishits are almost no problem, its like the ball almost corrects itself in mid-flight. The sound does take some getting used to (I'm used to Titanium drivers), but all-in-all it isn't a big factor. I am now hitting the ball 300+ yards, consistantly straight. I would recommend this driver to anyone looking for consistancy and power.

Got a deal on this driver during a 50% off promotion. Had a buddy that plays with it and recommended it. As long as you swing correctly you will have a shot in play no matter where you hit on the face. If you connect with the sweet spot the shot is gone. Ball speed is amazing. The balance is fantastic. The only issue is that its tough to get used to the crack at impact. I honestly ended my first two rounds with a splitting headache using it.

I've had lots of drivers and the FT-5 is the best of the bunch. Long, sounds and feels great.I bought a 10 degree stiff, draw and the first day I used it I hit 8 out of 10 drives that were draws. Long and in the fairway. I Love this driver.

This club felt solid and hit well right out of the box. I did not have to adjust my swing to get the long and straight result I wanted. If I over swing I can loss it big but 95% of the time it is going where I aim. It has a solid feel, sound and a huge sweet spot. I cannot remember a club that I felt this confident with the from the first swing on.

This is a great driver. I have owned Cleveland High Bore, and a Taylormade CGB. The Cleveland was long but terribly unforgiving. The Taylormade while forgiving floats the ball on well hit shots, and leans a bit too strong towards a draw. I have noticed a noticeable difference in the quality of my drives. Shots are not longer but they are more dependable. The only downside is the sound of this club is odd to say the least. Definitely not the ping I'm used to but more of a pop.

I have wasted many dollars looking for the right driver. I can really say this is the one gents. I can hit it high or low... fade or draw.. and most important hit fairways. I can even hit her off the deck.. I recommend every one at least try it.. And if you have doubts because you have the ft-3 don't worry not the same driver. My playing partners call me accurate Acker since I've got this club... Tee her up and enjoy.. : )

Got this club as an almost new club - the description was very accurate. The club came with a VS Proto ‘By You’ X flex. This is the most controlled club that I have used and it allows me to hit it low or high at will. I own nine drivers and this one is the pick of the crop. Could not be happier - until i buy another one :-)

I've been playing Callaway woods for the last 13 years. From the Warbird to the GBB to Hawkeye VFT. The FT-5 is the best driver that I have owned. When I took out for the first time not only did I find the fairway it was also much longer. Never realized how much better golf is from the fairway. This club is a keeper.

I recently bought the FT-5 13 degree loft to go with my 10 degree FT-3 Driver. I use it like a three wood (or, like I used to use a three wood) which makes it possible to work it a little better on holes that require a draw or on long Par 3's - the ball flight is high and carries like my 3 wood did when I was in my 40's - 20 years ago. The club is producing a really nice controlled draw or straight flight, excellent carry down wind and I recommend this club, especially if you are getting older and the holes are getting longer each year. The two drivers tactic is pretty nice, too - I hit the 10 degree into the wind and when I need a little more yardage. I might replace the FT-3 10 degree with an FT-5 10 degree draw, which I think will help me get the ball started on line, especially (if) when I swing harder. Got the Bassara shaft, which I like.
I love the FT5 driver draw

I love the sound ... and the feel is great ...i can now easily tell how and where i hit the ball ... every hole i had to go further down the fairway, from where it would normally be with my R7, to find my ball ... buy it and hit it

This is a great driver as far as distance. I would suggest ensure you are aware of your swing speed before electing a shaft. The E-150 is a good shaft but is not as stiff as I had hoped. Otherwise, put this club in your bag for an added 15-20 yards off the tee!

My FT-3 seems to correct all my bad swings, and it goes just as far as the FT-5. Maybe the shaft or loft isn't right on the FT-5, but the FT-3, for me, has much more MOI. I intend to return my FT-5; I bought it without ever hitting one because of all the rave reviews. The blind faith didn't work.

The FT-5 driver feel a lot different from it's older brother the FT-3. A more solid feel to the drive is felt right away on your first swing with a ball. I did notice the extra distance with the Fujikura Stiff shaft. A more forgiving club for sure. Great product manufacturing and detail.

I got the draw weighting in the tour version with the .5 open club face. This really helps keep it straight and in the fairway. This was in the "nearly new" category, but I couldn't find any sign of wear whatsoever. If it wasn't brand new right off the shelf, there was no way to tell.

This club is long off the tee when you hit it on the screws (as long or maybe a bit longer than my old BB 454 Titanium). But the huge difference is when you miss the sweet spot. The MOI/resistance to twisting isn't a lie. Toe it with a slice swing, and this club is just off the fairway instead of deep in the trees. Note: you lose considerable distance on mishits, but what you lose in yardage you more than make up for in accuracy.

The transition from small (Original Steelhead) to large (FT-5 Tour) was easy. It took one hour at the range to get the feel and then I took it to the course. When I get a hold of it I average 10 to 20 additional yards of the tee. My first round with it was the best of the season.

I played with all the Callaway driver and this is the best! I went from FT-3 (Aldla NVS-55 Stiff 9 degree draw) which I loved due to ease of use and distance but the FT-5 (Aldla NVS-65 Stiff 9 degree draw) is even easier to use and its longer by at least 10 yards! I love the feel and set up of this driver. This driver has helped me to eliminate the dreaded slice from the tee box. I bought the draw version and while I rarely hit a draw with it, I at least hit it straight. The sound of the ball off the club takes some getting use to but distance off the tee has improved about 15 yards.

[...] I found the condition of this 'used' golf club to be well above the 'average' rating it was given. But best of all, it works just as advertised ... I'm hitting longer straighter drives more consistently than ever before. Pounding balls well past the 250 yard marker on the driving range is almost as much fun as hitting balls within short pitching wedge range on par 4's. Lovin' it!

I played the FT-3 Tour for a long time until at a social outing I tried a friends FT-5, one hit was all it took, I had an FT-5 Tour ordered from this site within 48hrs!
The FT-5 is instantly much more forgiving and launches higher, this higher ball flight provides more distance and the superb forgiveness provides much greater accuracy.
I have tried most of the other 'Big Dawgs' in the market today and I have yet to find anything which compares to the overall performance of the FT-5.

It always sliced way off course, sometimes off the golf course all together! This club is forgiving enough that not only do I keep it on the course but I even hit the fairways a large portion of the time (and that really is saying a lot!). By far the very best of the best........
I purchased mine used from the Callaway Preowned Store. Because I'm a lefty, my choices were limited. I have suffered with a SLICE for years with no cure to be found,........and so I took a chance on a STIFF SHAFT DRAW SETUP.....It was only available with an 11 degree head. Well let me tell you that my chance paid off in spades.
No more slice(a rare push yes)and the distance is better than my 10 degree former FT-1 driver...........
I love the look and the feel is just plain WOW!!!!!

I used to play with a FT3 regular Shaft with Draw Bias. My wife gave my this FT5 club with neutral bias and stiff flex as a Birthday present.
I have to agree that although the FT3 hits long, the FT5, makes easier to hit long shots of the Tee with a crispier sound. I totally recommend this club for any golfer; worth the investment.
Callawaypreowned is a great service if you do not want to expend the big dough as you would on a regular retailer.

Just received my FT5 10 deg. with nuetral weighting today. After 1 bucket of balls I'm in love (I hit another after that for the fun of it). Went from a power fade with my old driver to a dead straight bomb and even a few slight draws. The sound is unique but I don't mind it and it did turn some heads at the range. Forgiveness is great. The few hits I had on the heel over-reaching were still long and straight.

I NOW HIT IT 350 ON AVERAGE....KIDDING, love those reviews...I'm definitely not a great golfer but I'm decent, hit it 300yds. maybe a couple times a round.
There's the setup here's my version of a review....I recently upgraded from the 454 after 3yrs and have used the FT-5 for about 6 rounds...the distance is maybe a couple yards more on average...I'm not good enough to claim to work the ball on purpose but the draw setup is no joke, it does just that. I've actually been in the fairway more than I'm used to...its not like you can't slice but that's if you put a HORRIBLE swing on it....plus the flatter, wider, head shape really makes me feel like I can go after it....now if I could just stop 3 putting.

What a awesome driver. I was using the X driver. Constantly hitting a fade. I could straighten it out by changing my grip. I decided to try out the FT-5 Draw. Without even changing my grip or stance, I was hitting straight drives. Unbelievable. It even carries farther. Very pleasing to look at during address. Sound is a little different though. But who cares. Highly recommended driver.

The quality could have been a little better, but for the price (more than 60% less than new retail), I can't really complain.

I checked the durability option but I have only played about three rounds with it; but, hey, it's a Callaway. I expect to play this club for many years to come. At first it set up a little odd, but quickly got used to it. The performance is surprising. Very workable trajectory, not much back-spin for a 10.5. Lots of roll as a result. I think that a faster swing speed would generate more back-spin. My 94 mph works great with the E360 stiff. I love this driver, for now.

I have been a huge fan of Callaway woods since the Warbirds hit the market, and the FT-5 Tour may be the best yet! The club is well-balanced and also the most forgiving driver I have ever hit. And if you are looking for added distance off the tee... look no further. The FT-5 has added 15+ yards to my tee shots and the shot dispersion is much tighter. If you don't own this driver, do your game a favor and pick up one from Callaway Preowned.

I use this club on any hole over 270 yards regardless of hazards or setup. It allows you to work the ball or just flat out smash it on longer holes. Even if you hit it awful, the clubhead stays stable and you still get a good shot most of the time. Only on the truly despicable swings will you get penalized, which is how it should be. The sweet spot is very hot and makes a cool sound when you hit it - unlike any club I've ever heard. If you're looking to upgrade your driver to keep you in play or hit it longer, this is a very solid choice.

I have been buying one driver a year for the past 3 years in search of the best driver for me: Taylor Superquad TP, Titelist, Clevland..I have tried them all at the demo days as well. I found an average quality FT-5 on Callaway Golf Pre-Owned over the winter and picked it up. Without exception, this is the longest driver I have hit. I am also able to shape my shots at will. Although I do not always put my best swing on the ball I am finding that my miss hits are less penalizing with this club due to some added forgiveness. Thank you Callaway!

I bought the FT-5 10* Draw used back in Jan. I haven't been able to use it much until about a month ago, and I just returned from a trip to Myrtle Beach in which I used the driver for 4 straight rounds. Let me tell you, this driver is the best I have ever owned. I had one of my best rounds ever (for a 30 HC!) in which I hit 10/14 fairways! I have never even been close to those stats (except when I had the Callaway Big Bertha Titanium several years ago!) This driver is the real deal. It took me some getting used to, but once I slowed things down and started swinging more fluid I was hitting it down the middle every time. Another much better golfer I was playing with kept calling me "Mr. Consistent!" I swayed from Callaway drivers for a short time, but now I know that I will keep this one in my bag for a long while!

I purchased the FT-5 tour 9.5 driver to replace my old Driver a Taylor Made R580 XD. There is no comparison the Callaway is a much better club. I enjoy the setup of the club, the large sweet on miss hits, the trajectory and the sound when you connect on a drive. I have added at least 15-20 off of the tee. The last 3 times out I have missed only 5 fairwarys.

I had a big problem with slicing whenever I tried to put some power into a driver shot. Purchased an FT-5 with a draw bias and started hitting longer and straighter from the first day. I can swing with full power and almost never slice. The club feels great through impact with no vibration...it really feels like I'm transferring all of the power into the ball.

First off, know that this is based on my first impressions after 1day of use...
I'm a beginner to golf and I'm trying to do anything and everything to improve my game. That included upgrading my clubs. First of all the club that Callaway sent me appeared brand new to me! I ordered very good and got very very very good seriously pretty much brand new. Like a little kid I couldn't wait and took this straight to the range! No joke probably added about 20-35yards to my drives and dead straight (majority of the time) I was ripping the balls. This club is great and I can't wait to use it in a game next week.

Bought this for myself (sort of) for Christmas. Used to play FT-3 Tour, read lots of discussion boards, forums etc on FT-5. Was going to get OptiFit but didn't want to spend the time (don't have it, really). I figured could always have Callaway reshaft if I didn't like the stock E360 Fuji shaft.....well, first time hit it was yesterday during a 'fun' round with some friends.
This driver is straighter (poss 3-5 yard draw/fade), far longer (15-20 yards, easy on average swings - I play this course a lot so very familiar with where I used to hit it), good feel (I could tell where hit it on face at impact - yet still crazy straight).
Don't be afraid of stock shaft....it's very solid and long. I admit it is for medium tempo swings, as I did notice that couple of times I 'stepped on it' didn't give much benefit, so perhaps that's where my next (backup) FT-5 tour the OptiFit system will come in handy.
One of playing partners said, he's never seen me hit the ball so well (wasn't scoring well, shot 81), he thought I added about 30 yards...true on good swings.
Buy one, or not, as I'll be addiing another as a backup.

I used to play a TaylorMade R5 Dual with a DRAW bias to counteract my swing flaws which cause me to hit banana slices from time to time. Not much improvement though overall. I recently had an opportunity to buy a slightly used FT-5 draw from eBay and from the first time I hit it at the range I found that the dispersion of off center and "over the top" hits were significantly straighter than with the Taylor. I am completely sold on it and wish I could have played this club years earlier. Would have save me alot of golf balls, strokes and frustration. If you slice, get one now!

i had a xtour driver before i got the ft-5 9.5 with the nv 65 gram stiff shaft. it is defintley an upgrade over the xtour and alot easier to hit. the ft-5 tour is a very solid driver. it has a high, yet penetrating trajectory and is very workable. the head feels very light which could be a con to some but it makes it easier to generate extra clubhead speed. when hit the club sounds just like the ft-3 but i think performs better. dont be scared of the "tour" model because it is easy to launch with a great trajectory. overall, an excellent club! its defintley cooler not to be square.
