Product Review: man oh man...let me start by saying that i LITERALLY fell into these clubs. i was given a gift of the cobra FP- II irons from a coworker who isn't a golf player that won them at a charity event... he kindly offered them to me and a "merry christmas"the FP-II's were a reg flex and i his a stiff.. so i took them to my local [...] shop and got store credit... and my shopping frenzy was ON$1100 worth of credit to spend on whatever my golf heart desired.i immediately went to grab the r-7 irons, the x-22, the VR's and the mizuno 100after abotu 10-15 shots i immediatelly eliminated the mizuno and x-22.. just didn't get a good feel.taylormades were a bit heavy, but felt like i was striking the ball pretty firmly with crisp contact... then i hit the VR's... even my finacee that was there with me who knows more about rocket science than golf noticed the difference in my contact.in her words " you hit those the best by FAR"after about another 20 balls of hitting the VR... i was completely sold... i hit the range for the next two weeks and proceeded to hit some of the best shots that i can remember.very little reverb in the shaft... HUGE sweet spot and great forgiveness... there were several i hit close to the toe that still stayed nearly on target and flew full distance... speaking of distance.. i found i was almost a full club longer with the VR's that my previous set of precepts... first full run out on the course... i had about 170 into the pin fron the first cut of rough... and absolutely stuck a 7 iron pin high.the clubs look great standing over the top... great feel and balance throughout... they do all the work for you!
