Odyssey Metal-X 7 Putter Details
The Metal-X 7 Putter is a modified mallet with weighted alignment wings, a double-bend shaft, and full-shaft offset. Odyssey's new dual layered insert has been fine tuned to enhance sound, responsiveness, and consistency. The outer layer is made of 6061 aluminum alloy with oval depressions and an inner urethane layer. In combination with the golf ball, these dimples increase friction and yield proper launch for a more consistent and controlled roll. The insert also removes weight from the putter face to deepen the center of gravity.
Furthermore, designers used Tour Players' feedback to develop the finish, a midnight black coloring to reduce glare.
