Titleist Pro V1X Golf Balls Were Used By Padraig Harrington To Win The British Open
The Titleist Pro V1X became another champion’s choice in 2007 when Padraig Harrington who started the last round six strokes down made a late push to take the British Open Championship. Harrington’s win at the British Open was the third straight major championship win for players using the Titleist Pro V1X golf ball. Angel Cabrera (US Open) and Zach Johnson (Masters) also used the Pro V1X to achieve major tournament victories.
Players using Titleist golf balls now account for 113 wins in the 2007 season which is over 7 times more than the next closest competitor. In last weeks action 95 players in the British Open Championship used either Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1X golf balls, 107 used them in the US Bank Championship and 47 of the 64 competitors in the LPGA HSBC Women’s World Match Play Championship used the Pro V1 series. Titleist Pro V1 continues to be the number one ball used on tour.
