Cleveland Golf Introduces Visual Performance Putters
Cleveland Golf has recently introduced its brand new VP Putter line (Visual Performance Putters). The Visual Performance Series uses Dual Axis Alignment Technology to aid golfers who have trouble lining up putts and do not address the ball correctly.The Engineers at Cleveland Golf have come to the conclusion that a big factor of missed putts can be attributed to incorrect putting alignment. “Unlike most sports, where the eyes are positioned directly behind the target, the putting stroke positions the eyes to the side of the target,” said Cleveland Golf’s Business Unit Leader Adam Sheldon. “Unless a player’s eyes are positioned directly above the balls center and on the intended target line, visual misperceptions will occur.” Golfers tend to compensate for poor alignment by adjusting their swing path which will lead to inconsistencies in the putting stroke and unwanted side spin on the golf ball.
Dual Axis Alignment Technology’s main function is the help the golfer determine when their eyes are not directly over the ball, and when their hands are out of position. By tackling these two big issues, the VP putters will help improve distance control and increase impact consistency.
All three VP putter models come available in standard, flat and upright lie configurations for an added level of customization.
