Time is running out, update your irons now!
Are you tired of hearing about the new groove rules? You shouldn’t be, and I’ll tell you why. With just a few months left in 2010, your chance to get aggressively-grooved irons and wedges is running out. Irons? Yes! Any club with a loft of over 25° is in danger of being changed, so club manufacturers are making their final runs of the “good” clubs this year. You might think of the 2024 date that’s been floated around, but remember that club makers want to minimize inventory and streamline their processes, so if they can make a single type of iron set instead of different versions, then they pocket more cash.
